ACM Micro Atomizer Control Module

Atomizer Control Module posted by ioos

The Micro Atomizer Control Module (ACM) has been designed to ensure a consistent and reproducible spraying process by sophisticated control of the gas and liquid flow. It is used, among others, in high demanding applications, such as drug coating of medical implants.
The micro-fluidic module comprises a high-resolution pump having a fluid delivery resolution within nanoliter range, and an atomizing gas flow controller for monitoring the gas pressure and regulating the gas flow featuring an accurate and pulse less gas stream delivery. It delivers liquid volumes from 25 to 1000 microliters with a resolution as low as 0.8 nanoliters.
The micro-fluidic module provides a closed loop feedback control of the gas flow through programmed set points and allows the user to monitor and control the current state of the fluid supply during the atomization process. Syringe plunger position, dispensed volume, gas flow rate, and gas pressure are displayed and high and low threshold values can be set for gas pressure and gas flow to trigger an alarm.
